Ms. Dal Soglio is a founding partner in Dal Soglio & Martens LLP. She specializes in employment litigation, including claims of harassment and discrimination, violation of civil rights, wrongful termination, defamation, theft of trade secrets, unfair business practices, as well as class action cases, including discrimination class actions and wage and hour class actions. She has extensive experience, including trial experience, in both the state and federal courts, and has obtained important victories for such companies as Allstate Insurance Company (race and disability discrimination), Forever 21, Inc. (wage and hour violations), Texaco, Inc. (marital status discrimination), Turner Construction Company (age and sex discrimination) and Denny’s, Inc. (public accommodations discrimination) In addition, she has significant appellate experience and has argued and won appeals in front of both the California and the United States (Ninth Circuit) Courts of Appeal, succeeding in upholding victories she obtained in the lower courts.
In addition, Ms. Dal Soglio advises employers in almost every component of the employment relationship. She works with a wide array of employers (including everything from small companies and start-ups to Fortune 100 companies, municipalities and universities), advising them in a comprehensive array of employment law issues including executive contracts, drafting and auditing employment policies and handbooks, assisting with day-to-day human resources issues, planning and implementing individual employee terminations and large-scale reductions in force, and conducting confidential investigations into employee complaints of discrimination, harassment and corporate misconduct. She also provides preventative training seminars for her clients in such areas as hiring and firing practices, harassment and discrimination, and wage and hour compliance.
Before starting her own firm, Ms. Dal Soglio was a partner with the international law firm of Latham & Watkins. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Litigation Section of Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles and the Labor and Employment Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. She has been recognized as a "Rising Star" in labor and employment law by Los Angeles Magazine.
Ms. Dal Soglio is committed to giving back to her community, doing extensive pro bono work for nonprofit organizations, including the Boys and Girls Clubs and Special Olympics. She has served on the Board of Directors of Girls, Inc. Los Angeles and serves as a volunteer arbitrator hearing employment cases for the Los Angeles Superior Court.
